Drawing the way it's meant to be

Wed May 14, 2008, 10:30 PM
So I toyed with the idea of getting a Wacom tablet for a while, but just then a scanner fell into my lap! Honestly I haven't sketched with pencil & paper in years. I used to do it all the time but then one day I just stopped. Now that I have the scanner I started sketching with paper again & it feels like I somehow got better during the time I wasn't sketching. Maybe it's one of those things where sometimes you just need a break to grow & then you return stronger & fresher. Now that I'm doing this I wonder why I waited so long. The really funny thing is that since I've spent so long sketching on the computer, my left hand always hovering over the Ctrl-Z (undo) shortcut, I find that when I mess up with the sketchpad, for a second my brain fires the Ctrl-Z signal & then it's like ERRORRRR.

Anyway, sorry for the rant in my last journal. DA is what it is I guess, & that's that. I may have more non-blatantly-sexual (DA-friendly) sketches in me than I originally thought. We shall see.

What do you mean slow? The machine takes long to scan? Normally it takes seconds even with cheap scanners.

Oh I wouldn't know about that I just do 300.

Should we be expecting anything new from you in the near future? I love your work.
